Schaeffler has announced the first new generation of its RUE linear recirculating and guideway assemblies since 2003, promising less stroke pulsation, a 40% reduction in required displacement force, and a drop of up to 30% in displacement force fluctuations. These improvements are said to result in simpler actuator control and increased positioning accuracy for the sixth-generation RUE-F assembles. When fitted on the main axis of a machine tool, the assemblies improve surface finish quality, while their lower displacement forces cut energy consumption and actuator operating costs, especially in high-cycle axes.
