Keyence has introduced an inline telecentric measurement system which measure parts rapidly and consistently as they pass by. The silhouette-based TM-X5000 system has an exposure time of just 25μs - claimed to be 40 times faster than conventional models, allowing accurate measurement of high-speed targets by eliminating blur. The system can be used for: geometric dimensioning and tolerancing; outer diameter and profile measurements; abnormality detection; and runout and positioning. Specially designed optics improve measurement repeatability by increasing uniformity across the field of view.
