文摘：One variation of tractor braking systems is the dry friction disc type, as fitted to several tractor makes and models over the years. It is the maintenance procedures of this type of braking system we are now going to examine. The operation (the actuator) of this type of brake is by an expanding disc/actuator, which will vary in size depending upon the tractor weight and brake dimensions. Although the actuator is similar to the wet disc unit, it operates friction discs made from asbestos or, now, from an asbestos-free material.
