文摘：The Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) is soliciting requests for a proposal (RFP) on research to create a tool that can help regulators and airport operators examine the need for and relative benefits of current airport noise abatement departure procedures (NADPs) in light of advances in technology expected to result in significantly quieter aircraft in the not-too-distant future. The objective of this research is to develop a departure optimization methodology to: 1) quantify potential reductions in fuel burn and source emissions; 2) estimate possible increases in air traffic capacity that can be achieved by optimizing departure procedures while continuing to address noise exposure for communities around airports;
