文摘:The cooling capability of evaporative cooling equipment depends primarily on the ambient air wet-bulb (WB) temperature. In the evaporative cooling process, the temperature of the cooled media leaving the evaporative cooling process is limited by the ambient air WB temperature. This limit has challenged HVAC engineers for years. This article describes how we overcame the problem at a project for the San Francisco Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). As planned, the Leanne Roberts Medical Center at the San Francisco SPCA is an 84,000-sq-ft veterinarian medical center designed by ARQ Architects. Construction is set to begin next year. It includes a combination of in-patient and out-patient animal treatment facilities with advanced medical departments, such as nuclear medicine, surgery, emergency, physical rehabilitation, oncology advance imaging and more, all similar to departments found in medical facilities serving humans.
