文摘：The liberalised electricity supply industry is changing the traditional transmission tasks of existing very-high-voltage transmission lines, while at the same time demanding low transmission costs. Transmission line technology is being assigned important technical and economic tasks. Along with the lowering of the specific transmission costs, these include increasing the transmission capacity of existing lines, installation of conductors in spare systems, reconfiguration of conductors and installation of high-capacity lines on the right-o{ways of old lines, as well as new lines. The experiences of other countries can be of help. In any case, a closer intermeshing of electrical and structural engineering investigations appears necessary.
