Thermally stable and amorphous polyimide thin films were prepared by deposition-polymerization of 3, 4,9, 10-perylenetetracarboxylie dianhydride (PTCDA) and 4,4'-diaminodiphenylether (ODA). Co-deposition of PTCDA and ODA yielded polyamide thin film, which is precursor 0* polyimide. It was important to balance the evaporation of each monomers. The optimum evaporation temperature was 470℃ for PTCDA and 183℃ for ODA. Polyimide thin films wore obtained by annealing of the polyamide films at 200℃ - Photoluminescence and electric conductivity were improved by deposition -polymerization compared to PT CDA monomers.
