文摘:Bond Street, London, is one of the most famous retail streets in the world - but does the lighting of its retail emporia measure up to this reputation? LJ Editor and lighting designer, Carl Gardner, took an evening walk around the area, accompanied by Roger Beckett of Light Projects, and lighting designer-turned-photographer, James Newton - and came back chastened by the experience. All photos are copyright James Newton. Bond Street - the very name oozes an aura of classy, high-end retailing - and the creme de la creme of top-name fashion houses, such as Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Pringle, Donna Karen, Nicole Farhi, Ralph Lauren and Canelli all have major outlets there. According to a recent article in the business pages, rental prices for property in Bond Street are now nudging £1000 per square foot.
