文摘:
A real-time process monitoring system provides an essential set of tools for companies committed to increasing productivity and reducing scrap. The tools provide an accurate means to immediately detect and act on process problems. Used properly, a plant-wide monitoring system will spot variations while the process is still under control, prior to generation of excessive scrap. Powerful monitoring systems are more affordable today than ever before as a result of decreases in computer hardware and software. The total cost associated with the purchase of a system, the required training, and the ongoing operating expenses, are a small fraction of the actual costs of scrap that can be avoidable by using the tools.
